 The Minneapolis Movie Bears would like to invite you to join the Movie Bears 2013 AIDS Walk Team. There is really nothing to it. You join, you ask friends, family, co-workers to support and donate to you and you take a nice 6.2 miles stroll, jog, bike down one side of the Mississippi and back up the other side. Set a reasonable goal and you'll be amazed how fast you'll pass that goal.

We all know someone that is either HIV+, who has friends that are HIV+, has been sick, has been associated with or who had died of this rotten disease. The money is still needed to fight this and this is why we have the AIDS walk once a year, to raise funds and raise awareness. 

For those of you who are not in Minnesota, it's OK. We still need your help. You can donate to support the team or anyone that is on or joins our team. Yes, it's a team effort. And yes, it's tax deductible no matter where you live. 

Staying with tradition, we will be having our end of walk cook out at Eric and Rick's house for the walkers.

Tomorrow is the 2013 MN AIDS Walk and we are doing really well.  As of this morning we were in first place but only by a little bit.  The first place team wins a bowling party at the Park Tavern.  THIS SHOULD BE US!  How can you help???  Click on the links here.

 We are at a respectable $12,193 dollars raised!  We can do more with additional contributions!

9:30 AM – End of Pride Parade

Enjoy the Pride Parade from the rooftop of Union featuring its spectacular retractable glass roof.


The event is on the Union rooftop on June 30 during the Pride Parade. Tickets are $10 each and include a free cocktail, beer, glass of wine or pop.

I understand there will be big screens and sound pumped in from below, and it holds 500 people.

Now, the really cool part is that if it happens to be raining, "and we know that happens," or if it's way to hot, they can close the roof.

As I said, tickets are $10 and you can purchase as many as you like. We have a pay pal set up. You can also pay in cash if you'd like. 

If you wait till the day of the event tickets, if any left, will be $15 at the door.
