Eric Blad - President
Eric is a founding member and the President of the Minneapolis Movie Bears. He and his partner Rick moved to Minneapolis in 2001 from Atlanta. He works as a director for a large insurance company based in the Twin Cities. Eric has been the leader of several Movie Bears activities including the award-winning Twin Cities Pride floats for both “UP” and “Toy Story 3”. He has also been the spokesperson for the Movie Bears in several radio and news articles. As a non-profit organization, the Minneapolis Movie Bears is a consistent supporter of the Minnesota Aids Walk and Eric looks forward to expanding the philanthropic opportunities in the communities in which the Movie Bears are active.
Bill Anderson - Vice President
Bill is the Vice President of the Minneapolis Movie Bears, works in the travel industry. He moved to the Twin Cites following his partner from Tampa, proving love is deeper than snow. While in Tampa, Bill was the Expo Chairperson for Winter Pride, Tampa’s annual Pride Event. He also served as Secretary for the Krewe of Cavaliers, a local social and philanthropic organization in Tampa. He is a licensed real estate agent and organizes the annual MMB garage sale.
Rick Perry - Membership and Events Officer
Rick is a founding member and the Membership and Events Officer of the Minneapolis Movie Bears. He and his partner Eric moved to Minneapolis after many years in Atlanta. He is a sales associate for a large home improvement retail store but is better known as the voice and face of the Minneapolis Movie Bears. For many years Rick has led the MMB AIDS Walk team through successful fundraising. His team has raised thousands of dollars for this great cause and looks forward to continued success. As the Membership and Events Officer, Rick will continue to pursue opportunities to uphold the Minneapolis Movie Bears Mission Statement to provide fun, great conversation and a chance to relax, hang out, visit with friends, meet new friends, and expand our social network together.
Josh Fecht – Information Technology Officer
Josh is the Information Technology Officer for the Minneapolis Movie Bears. Josh studied at Iowa State University concentrating on Computer Engineering. He has worked in the IT field since 1999, and currently holds a position in the healthcare sector in IT spearheading new technology initiatives and managing their vendor relationships with respect to their IT needs. Josh also sits on the Green Committee at his company, helping to create and establish companywide green initiatives. In his spare time he enjoys just about every video game that comes out for his PS3, and testing his culinary talents on his boyfriend every chance he gets.
